Fees

All reports, except for arrest reports, cost $12, payable via check or money order payable to City Treasurer.

Arrest reports (only page 1 can be released) cost 50 cents, payable via check or money order to the City Treasurer.

Pick-Up

After seven (7) business days, email sdpdreportrequests@pd.sandiego.gov or call 619-531-2846 to confirm if a report is ready for pick up.

A third party may pick up a report if they have written authorization from the victim with a photo ID and the required $12 fee.

Traffic Collision or Accident Reports

Before attempting to obtain a copy of the traffic collision report, please allow 3 - 10 business days from the date of the accident so the report can be submitted, processed, and approved for release.

NOTE: Police reports are not released to arrested individuals and/or suspects. These individuals may obtain reports through their legal representatives through the discovery and/or subpoena process.
